Absence Policy
Students or parents must call in to school at
317-636-3100 or leave an absence report on
Todd Academy, Inc. (Lower School) website:
www.toddacademyjuniorhigh.com each day
of the student's absence. The report should
be delivered no later than 8:30 a.m.
After the 3rd consecutive day of absence a
doctor’s note is required to be turned in to
the Director.
More than 8 days of excused absences in a
quarter or 15 days in a semester could lead
to loss of grade or loss of credit. This is at
the sole discretion of the Director.
Todd Academy, Inc. (Lower School) will give
students, who have eligible absences (and have
followed the noted policy on reporting those
absences) 2 days for each day of absence, up
to a total of 10 days, to make up
the work
missed. If the homework or project was
assigned prior to the absence it is
due on it's original due date
or the date the student returns to school.
If the student was hospitalized, then the
Director or the teacher will work out an
appropriate amount of time for the work to
be completed and turned it for credit.
